The Department of Research, Assessment & Evaluation is responsible for coordination of internal and external research, ongoing program monitoring, and the administration of federal, state and district assessment programs. These include the SBAC, CELDT / ELPAC, NAEP and district benchmark tests.
In support of the district, we
- conduct internal research projects that inform district- and school-wide action planning
- coordinate the publication of the School Accountability Report Cards
- prepare various reports on student achievement
- evaluate federal, state, district and school programs
- review and approve outside research requests
- supervise the district’s Language Assessment Center.
The staff works with the district grant writer in preparing grant proposals. Additionally, the department prepares the R30 report, Title I evaluation, SAT-I and Advancement Placement Reports, provides data to the Office of Civil Rights, and works with other department and school sites in the analysis and reporting of statistical data.
